Joey McCoy vs Nick Karras - Weekend Wrestling

Image
I knew I'd be reviewing this one when I first saw it teased on Weekend Wrestling's FB page. First though, some info about Joey. Many of you already know he recently underwent brain surgery for a tumor that was found. From what I've read, the surgery went well and he is currently at home healing up. Needless to say, Joey could definitely use our help. You can find a link to Joey's direct GoFundMe, along with a wish list link by clicking here Weekend Wrestling is also donating 50% of all rental and download purchases of Joey's matches for the month of December. Let's help him out the best we can and show him how much the underground wrestling community really cares about our guys! Joey McCoy vs Nick Karras - Weekend Wrestling Nick is in the ring doing some collegiate-style wrestling warm ups (it looks a little silly to be totally honest, but this is pro wrestling so who cares 😛) as he is interrupted by Weekend Wrestlings resident demon-possessed wrestler, Joey ...

Jack Dillon vs Nick Karras - Weekend Wrestling

Image
Jack Dillon vs Nick Karras - Weekend Wrestling Indie star Jack Dillon makes his second underground debut, this time at Weekend Wrestling and is up against the ever improving amateur grappling hunk Nick Karras. The two enter the ring together in a training session scenario. Nothing could go wrong for pro-trainee Nick, right? lol That said, who is training who? Will this be a lesson in pro style brutality to Nick, or is Jack about to face a painful collegiate grappling session? This is no squash match by any stretch. Nick has enough in-ring experience by now to give Jack a challenge, and maybe even come out on top, one way or another. This is the best I've seen Nick so far. He looked a little nervous and camera shy in his earlier underground matches, but it seems like most of that has faded away. His personality is starting to come out now. A majority of the battle takes place on the mats where Nick seems the most confident, sharing his still somewhat limited but respectable ar...

Danny Mercury vs Nick Karras - Weekend Wrestling

Image
I was pleasantly surprised to see Nick Karras appear in Weekend Wrestling's latest release. I reviewed his underground wrestling debut match with 88Wrestling a few months ago. The match was decent, but I had been looking forward to seeing Nick up against a more experienced opponent. Danny Mercury is a great choice! He's another recently fresh face to the underground scene and brings his indie wrestling experience to the WW ring. Danny Mercury vs Nick Karras - Weekend Wrestling Nick is getting a pre-match warm up in, when Danny appears at ringside and taunts him for being a "amateur" wrestler. Nick fires back, calling pro wrestling "fake shit." The stage is set for a collegiate vs indie pro showdown! Danny enters the ring and it's not long before Nick is stripped down to his "real wrestling attire." I am eternally grateful to Danny for this. Nick is an absolute stud with a pair of thighs just about anyone would love to get lost and/or buried i...

Rookie Wreckage: Alex Garcia vs Nick Karras - 88Wrestling

Alex Garcia vs Nick Karras - 88 Wrestling So, I picked up this match last week and initially I wasn't sure if I was going to review it or not. I gave it another watch a few days ago, and decided that I would. This is Alex's debut match with 88 and Nick's 4th released bout with the company.  I haven't been able to check out Nick's other matches, although I have been tempted more than once. Anyways, this was my first time seeing the two in action. I have a lot of thoughts about this match, but I will keep it light. Although a bit sloppy (for lack of a better term) at times, this was a fun battle to watch. Not as intense as I had hoped, but the pace is consistent. According to the 88 website, Alex has a strong background in amateur wrestling and jiu-jitsu, but its clear he's just starting to get his feel for the pro style scene. Not at all uncommon or even unexpected. Nick does a good job to keep the pace going. Both of these guys are ridiculously handsome and ha...
