Dirty D vs Danny Mercury - Weekend Wrestling

Image
Dirty D vs Danny Mercury - Weekend Wrestling The first thing that captured my attention for this match even before I saw the preview was the photo below: I'm a big gear fan (I'd assume most of us are) and to me, the choice of gear in a match is very important and Danny looks hot as fuck in his blue lace-up trunks! Yeah I get thongs are hot, but I've always felt they are used too often and unfortunately can give the match a bit of a stale vibe before it even starts. This is of course just my opinion, but I'll always take speedos, pro gear, or singlets (as long at the straps come down at some point!) over the skimpier options. Anyways, that's another topic for another post.  I can't fail to mention the menacing Dirty D, one of Weekend's most calculated and methodical heels crocuhed down over his defeated (potentially) opponent. Hell yeah. Ok, onto the match. Danny tries to convince Dirty D to take a hike, probably not looking forward to a possible David vs ...

Dirty D vs Kal Handsome - Weekend Wrestling

Image
*Wrestler of the month feature match* Seemingly a glutton for endless punishment, underground wrestling eye-candy Kal Handsome steps into the ring with big and beefy heel Dirty D in Weekend Wrestling's latest release.  Dirty D vs Kal Handsome - Weekend Wrestling The two meet in the ring and Dirty D casually sizes up his opponent. The match description on WW touts the amount of experience Kal has gotten since he's been with the company, and this is the most confident I have seen him. A far cry from the beginnings of his previous matches. D turns his back to Kal, just luring him in to strike first, giving D all the more reason to make the demolition of his opponent extra brutal. He loves doing it and I love watching it. "I make them, and I break them." Dirty D is talking about the rules with this statement, but he could just as easily be referencing other members of the WW roster.  Dirty D's brutality is cold and calculated and just a few minutes in, it seems like...

Wrestler of the Month - Dirty D

From his humble beginnings in BG East's Backyard Brawls series, Bobby Horton has transformed over the years from poolside twink into the monster heel "Dirty D" we know him as today. I was first turned on to D in the match I mentioned above. The whole DVD is great and is one of my BG east favorites to this day, and it includes other BG East all stars like Johnny Firestorm, Jaxx O'Doul, and Alexi Adamov. I highly recommend it! After quite the wrestling hiatus, Bobby resurfaced at Weekend Wrestling as Dirty D in October of 2020 where he crushed Drew Harper and has since wrestled in over a dozen matches, giving us some of the hottest and most unrelenting jobber demolitions of the decade so far! With over a decade of experience, Dirty D has become an absolute beast and force to be reckoned with for anyone he hits the mats or steps in the ring with. He has a new match coming out this Saturday against Kal Handsome at Weekend Wrestling. I already know he's going to wi...

Dirty D vs Drew and Johnny - Weekend Wrestling

Image
Rent is due, and roommates Drew Harper and Johnny Greco have decided to take it into the ring to settle who pays. They are obviously friends outside of the ring, but are no strangers to each other in the ring either. This is sure to be a great fight! Dirty D vs Drew Harper & Johnny Greco - Weekend Wrestling The guys decide on a "first to 3" stipulation and just as they are all tied up at 2-2, Dirty D pops up ringside. I'm sure the memories of the beating they both took from Dirty D in the past flood their minds. There is an audible sigh of relief when D whips out a referee shirt and announces he's "just here to provide a little assistance." Before he decided to play ref, I thought maybe he was going to be revealed to be the evil landlord lol Anyways, D is one of my favorite heels in underground wrestling so it's not too hard for me to figure out what he means by "assistance." What follows is a really solid  grappling battle between Drew ...

He's still got it: Dirty D vs Drew Harper - Weekend Wrestling

Image
When I first saw Dirty D, I immediately knew he looked familiar. I couldn't figure out where from until I checked out the match gallery and saw the photo below. That sinister glare is what sparked the remembrance: Ah yes. I remember now! We watched Dirty D transform from jobber twink to hot and beefy heel under the name Bobby Horton at BG East. A transformation which got my attention in more ways than one for sure. I haven't seen all of his BG videos, but my favorites were his matches against Dick Rick, Cole Cassidy, and Johnny Firestorm. I highly recommend all of them. Dirty "D" vs Drew Harper - Weekend Wrestling First of all, I'm really loving Dirty D's look here. Reminds me of the old school villainous wrestling heels I watched growing up in the early 90's, right at the end of what some call the "Golden Era" of professional wrestling. Drew is all arrogance here, stretching and flexing in the ring while bragging whoever his opponent is won...
