Rear Naked Review Part 1: KSW Knockout Awards 2020 - Fan Favorites

Image
I've decided to split up my yearly review into 2 parts this year between fan favorites and my personal favorites. I'll reveal the fan poll results in this post, and in part 2 I'll talk about my personal choices in each category, some other favorites of mine, and some things I hope to see and am looking forward to for 2021. I'll have part 2 up sometime later this week. Here are the results of the fan poll: Fan Favorite Wrestler of 2020: Gabe Steel: 58 votes (30.5%) 2nd Place - Axel 31: votes (16.3%) 3rd Place - Zack Reno: 26 votes (13.7%) Fan Favorite Heel of 2020: Gabe Steel: 55 votes (29.1%)  2nd Place - Nick Flex: 48 votes (25.4%) 3rd Place - Brendan Byers: 40 votes (21.2 %)    Fan Favorite Jobber of 2020:  Joey McCoy: 59 votes (35.5%) 2nd Place - Travis Maverick: 39 votes (23.5%) 3rd Place -  Drew Harper: 31 votes (18.7%) Fan Favorite Debut of the Year:   Bull Barrett: 69 votes (41.4%) 2nd Place - Lobo Gris: 34 votes (19.8%) 3rd Place - Travis Maverick: 32 votes (

Double Debut! Dominic D'Andrea vs Travis Maverick - Weekend Wrestling

Image
Dominic D'Andrea vs Travis Maverick - Weekend Wrestling For $8.99 a month, Weekend Wrestling offers match galleries and a monthly discount code you can use on any match. As the site grows, the membership fee becomes increasingly more "worth it." I like being able to check out a photo set from a match I'm considering downloading and it helps give me an idea if it's got the kind of things I like to see. One thing I'm not a fan of however is when the galleries spoil the ending of a match I wanted to purchase. While it has never, at least to my recollection, changed my decision to by a match, it takes away from part of the match-viewing experience. This time, there was an exception. Seeing the photo of the end of the match (same as the pic I used for the background of the header) actually made me want to buy it even more. Lets break it down... 1 The victorious heel looks down proudly with a bit of a smirk at his defeated and broken opponent   2  We get perfect

Cornucopia

I made these two "rules" for myself earlier this year: 1. I will never ever feel obligated to make a new post 2. Don't go for more than a month without blogging I know these seem like they contradict each other, but the 2nd is more of a guideline than a rule.  Now, one of the last things I want to do is create a blog post with a negative tenor when I know there are so many people who are downright miserable right now. Some of you have lost friends and family members and we now all have to weigh the risk of gathering with the people you care about over the holidays, along with other struggles.  I totally understand because I am one of those people. You come here to read about wrestling, check out match gifs (and hopefully purchase said matches,) and to check out the world of KSW when I have the free time and right mindset to hash out a new episode...and lately I've had neither. But, for my own sanity I will do my best to solider on.   There was a cornucopia (see! I inc

Inferno Series: Inferno vs Danywrestler - Hunks Wrestling

Image
Inferno vs Danywrestler - HunksWrestling One of my other kinks besides wrestling is gear, and something about the track jacket and face mask that new HunksWrestling fighter Inferno is wearing just drive me wild. Combined with that buzz cut and rough street punk look...its hot as fuck! The style of his mask in particular makes memories surface and brings me back to my Cyberpunk days stomping away to my favorite Industrial beats at the Leland City Club here in Detroit. Man, I sure do miss those days...but I digress. There's a good handful of Halloween themed matches that came out over the last few days ( I made a list of them in my previous post ) and I decided to check out Inferno vs Danywrestler first. I haven't seen either of these guys wrestle yet, so this is an introduction to both guys for me.  The scene starts out with Dany beginning a work out at an old graffiti filled abandon train station. It's rough and rugged and a great setting for a brawl! As Dany starts his r

Halloween Haunts

I know it is now November 1st, but I'd like to take a minute and highlight all of the Halloween themed matches released over the last few days. I haven't checked any of them out just yet, but there's a match or 2 I have my eye on:   Flesh Fearium - BWN Flesh Fearium was a PPV event put on by BWN just last night. I don't have a ton of info on this one unfortunately, but it includes some of BWN's hottest guys! Inferno vs DanyWrestler - Hunks Wrestling Man, something about Inferno really turns me on! This starts outdoors and eventually moves onto the mats with "dirty and dark weapons" involved, according to the HW website. Looks like a hot match! Halloween Special - Spotland Scrappers There isn't a new Halloween Special from Spotland this year due to Covid restrictions, but they are offering matches from both 2016 and 2018 for only $8! Again, not a ton of info about either of these matchs, but I'm sure you can expect the typical cheeky fun that comes
