Roger Atlas vs Kal Handsome - Weekend Wrestling

Image
Roger Atlas vs Kal Handsome - Weekend Wrestling After his year end debut and demolition back in December at the hands of Sid Shaw and Cody Blayde (two of my favorites on the WW roster.) Kal seeks a new coach in the latest release from Weekend Wrestling. Kal is already late for his training session, and not quite dressed to Roger's expectations. If you've seen any of Roger's previous matches, you know he likes to get right down to business and he's already not happy. You would think that Kal would be a little better prepared and on guard this time around. He has an upbeat but naive personality and it's clear that more than just wrestling basics will need to be part of today's lesson from Roger.  Roger tosses Kal around, and after a nice chop against the ropes Kal asks the wrong question. "This is a little harsh for training...don't you think?" With that statement, Kal seals his fate. Time for Roger to make an example out of another innocent...

Tedros vs Roger Atlas - Weekend Wrestling

Image
Editors note: This is Weekend Wrestling's match from last Saturday. Later today they will be releasing Johnny Greco vs Diego Maya, and I'm just as excited about that match. I'll get to it soon for sure. Already a fan of the studly slab of beef (and outstanding wrestler) that is Roger Atlas, I knew I would have to check out this match from Weekend Wrestling when I saw via their Twitter account he would be taking on hot debuting hunk Tedros. I had a feeling I would love this one before it was even released. In the match description it says "Tedros, the self-proclaimed "Friendliest Guy at Weekend Wrestling." Well, that's a 100% heel smirk Tedros has painted across his face if you ask me...so maybe we'll come to find out he's the friendliest heel at Weekend. Let's see if I'm correct. I'll even keep score. Tedros vs Roger Atlas - Weekend Wrestling   Things start off friendly enough. Tedros gets his handshake, but Roger doesn't seem all ...

Joey McCoy vs Roger Atlas - Weekend Wrestling

Anyone who reads the match card of Joey McCoy (5'2", 130 lbs) vs Roger Atlas (5'9", 220 lbs) can assume Joey wouldn't stand a chance against Roger. Thankfully for Joey, he'll have Sadistic Sid Shaw in his corner, or around somewhere at least. Can these two topple Weekend Wrestling's muscle mountain? Joey McCoy w/Sid Shaw vs Roger Atlas - WeekendWrestling Out of the mist, Sid and Joey slither into the ring like two demented serpents as a somewhat confused Roger looks on. He tells Sid to beat it and decides to take on Joey...but Sid warns that he won't be around to stop Joey if he "loses control." The pair share one last round of otherworldly growling sounds before Joey turns around to face muscle Mt. Atlas and is swept up into a bearhug to start the match. A menacing smoke begins to fill the ring, perhaps a foreboding sign of things to come, as Roger puts Sid's fiendish sidekick through several lift and carry sequences. All the while, Jo...

Zach Reno vs Roger Atlas - Weekend Wrestling

Just the idea of these two meeting in the ring screams squash match. Johnny is billed at 5'6 150lbs and Atlas at 5'9 220lbs. A mismatch for certain. Someone came up with this scenario as a custom match at Weekend Wrestling and I am about to watch this fan scripted concept come to life. This isn't Roger's underground debut but it is his WW debut. He had an incredible match with Johnny Grecco at Muscleboy. I didn't review that one, but I loved it and definitely suggest checking it out. Zach Reno vs Roger Atlas - Weekend Wrestling Who better to show the new guy around than seasoned veteran Zach Reno? He has helped Roger find his way to the ring but needs just one more thing from Zach. He asks Zach to be his sparring partner, or someone he can throw around like a sandbag to be more specific.  Zach has his shades on (which are really cool tbh) and looks like he's about to go tanning on the beach or maybe just going to find a place to stand around and look good.  An...
