Roger Atlas vs Kal Handsome - Weekend Wrestling
After his year end debut and demolition back in December at the hands of Sid Shaw and Cody Blayde (two of my favorites on the WW roster.) Kal seeks a new coach in the latest release from Weekend Wrestling.
Kal is already late for his training session, and not quite dressed to Roger's expectations. If you've seen any of Roger's previous matches, you know he likes to get right down to business and he's already not happy. You would think that Kal would be a little better prepared and on guard this time around. He has an upbeat but naive personality and it's clear that more than just wrestling basics will need to be part of today's lesson from Roger.
Roger tosses Kal around, and after a nice chop against the ropes Kal asks the wrong question.
"This is a little harsh for training...don't you think?"
With that statement, Kal seals his fate. Time for Roger to make an example out of another innocent rookie.
Roger methodically tortures Kal for the remainder of the match. I love every minute. Some of the best parts are the spots of Kal in painful submission holds, whimpering out a "Yes sir" or "Yes Mr. Atlas" while Roger berates him. It's a real in-ring dom/sub session and Roger doesn't hold back.
Roger can do this to me. I volunteer as tribute! 😋
Kal might not realize it, but this session with Roger might be just what he needs. Who better to break a rookie down (and maybe even bring them back up) than Roger, who has been on both sides of the jobber/heel spectrum throughout his underground career.
I won't spoil anything, but there's definitely room for a part two here and I'd love to see it happen. Regardless if we get that or not, I'm excited for Kal's future at Weekend. He's got a lot of enthusiasm and plays the hot, helpless jobber really well. I have a feeling he'll be getting some wins under his belt in no time.
So no hope spot for Kal is a fair assumption?
