What makes a great heel? In the underground wrestling world, there are plenty of guys that claim this label...but what qualities must they possess in order to fully encompass the role and become a top heel in the business?

Tyson Could have easily fit into most of the categories I've compiled here and it's the reason hes not only my favorite guy at UCW, but also one of my favorite heels. If you've seen any of his matches, you know he has no problem using dirty tactics like low blows, eye pokes, and even mysterious substances. All of his matches are great, but the ones that stick out the most are between he and Zack Reno (there have been 4 or 5 now, with one just recently released where Tyson may have taken the title back from Zack. I haven't checked it out just yet, so no spoilers!)

Derrick Cole


It's been a minute since we've seen Derrick at UCW, but he's another of my favorites from the company. I mean, he just looks like a heel and he has the cocky demeanor to go along with it. With his no holds barred anything goes attitude, Derrick is a perfect heel for UCW. I hope we see him back on the mats soon!

Sadistic

Nick Justice 


Maniacal heel Nick Justice stands out among the loaded roster at Wrestler4Hire, and he can be an absolute madman in the ring. He even sometimes talks to himself or other invisible forces (which also sometimes assault him) while showing no mercy and demolishing any helpless jobber thrown his way. Stealing souls and making others his "minions" is a favorite in-ring task of his. I really do wish he'd lose the black body suit. We deserve to see all of that sexy beef Nick is hiding!

 Gabe Steel

 

I've see Gabe in both the jobber and heel roles, but he is an obvious heel by nature. His match against Marcus Ryan and Muscleboy Wrestling was one of the most brutal jobber demolitions I've seen in recent memory. Gabe's personality and award winning smile might make your heart melt but it's all punishment once he steps foot onto the mat or the ring.

  Gabe Steel vs Kal Handsome - Weekend Wrestling I wanted to get this up last week but fell a little behind, and it looks like I'm not alone in losing track of time... You'd assume Kal would think twice about showing up late again after the beating he took at the hands of Roger Atlas in his last match at WW for the same reason. Unfortunately for Kal, no lessons were learned as he scrambles down to the ring to meet up with Gabe who is already ready and waiting. Kal is seated at ringside rushing to put his gear on. Personally, I love the red shorts he is always wearing each time he comes to the ring. Although they typically get stripped off (which I'm not complaining about) Kal is one of those guys that can look great in just about any battle attire.
