Wrestler of the Month: January 2025 - Tim World

Back in 2023 I was doing a Wrestler of the Month feature, but shelved it for 2024. I've decided to bring it back! It's something relatively easy for me to write up and is a reason to keep me blogging more frequently. Tim was next on the list before I stopped doing this each month, so he is the featured wrestler for January.

Based in the UK, T-World is arguably one of the most recognized European underground wrestlers. He's very skilled in the ring! Whether he's fighting it out at UKWH or FFE in the ring or if he's in a more intimate setting against fellow UK wrestlers like Sir Dark or MPJ, Tim knows how to give the audience a show win or lose.

My favorite matches featuring T-World are his several battles with both AJ Nasty and Sir Dark, along with a collection of hot matches from UKWH. It's hard to pick a favorite!

Tim was kind enough to answer a couple of interview questions for me (and you!) as well:

1. What first made you decide you wanted to get into wrestling?

I had always played wrestling at school and was a big fan of the console games. Loads of men in trunks sweating and grunting and rolling around...what's not to love. I never thought much of it whilst I did a few photoshoots having started feeling more self confident and had at the same time found I enjoyed writing cyber matches online. I was invited to take part in a one off filming session in Manchester and thought why not. From then on I was kinda hooked.

2. If you remember, what was the first match you saw that gave you that initial "spark" whether it be from the underground scene or pro/indie wrestling?

I don't remember the exact match that gave me that spark and drive for wrestling but I do remember a handful of storylines that made pro wrestling. In terms of underground and slightly suggestive wrestling there were again a few that pop into my mind. One I have sadly never been able to find again but was a 2 Vs 1 that turned into an oil match despite the losers protests. The biggest thing for me though was the power plays in matches. Either one sided or a clear dance of strength or skill.

3. Who was/is your favorite opponent?

I often get asked about favourite opponents and it's always so hard to pick, as nearly every person I have faced has had an awesome skill or ring presence in one way or another. Some guys I love to heel for. Whilst others I love being heeled by. So to name specifically is super tough. UK Hub and FFE have had some great guys over the years and it has been an awesome way to meet new faces too. WatchFighters has also allowed me to meet a ton of new guys and currently arranging some new matches via Twitter/X with some from more.....adult areas of the internet so stay tuned for those releases.

4. Do you follow or are you a fan of pro/indie wrestling? If so who are a few of your favorite wrestlers?

I've dipped in and out of mainstream pro and indie wrestling. Whilst I don't fully follow I've noticed a few over last few years that have that ring persona or look that seems interesting. Was into Hook for a while and have also been seeing Adam Maxed pop up on my algorithm a few times but sadly he seems to have moved on. Austin Theory, and Leo Rush also catch my eye. Whilst I'm a fan of muscled lads it has to be paired with the right sort of attitude and it's one that often has elements that mirror my own in the ring.

5. Who would you like to have a match with that you haven't yet, and why?

Future opponents? Ooo so many over in the states. We've tried to arrange things but a lot fall through due to one thing or another. Sadly travel to the States for me isn't an option at the moment so it means taking them on 1 at a time. Would love another meet up with Kayden Keller and have Ash DeLeon back him up. Me and Ash have been talking since we both started and both went from tiny jobbers to the ring owners we are today having never had a match. That needs to change. Of those I've yet to face Evan Tripp has popped up as recommended a few times from fans who just want to see me own him and Brendan Byers for the fans who I think want me owned. For more local lads I'd love one with a rising lad called Lil D who seems to be mouthing off of late and may need putting in his place.

6.Anything else you’d like to add? (If not just leave this one blank)

One thing I will say is that I've been kinda absent from being pine over the last few months in terms of social media. I won't sugar coat, it's been tough and I've had to make some serious decisions. The end result however should mean not only a return but a blazing one that will burn for years to come. Tim World, the true champion, will rise like a phoenix and claim titles, adoration and of course share sweet fun and amazing content soon enough!

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts, Tim!
