The List #3 - KSW Favorites

This blog originally started out as a place for me to post stories from my pro wrestling fantasy fed, KSW. I know I don't post new matches and stories nearly as often as I used to. I never expected my blog to become anything like it has today. I love doing the underground reviews, but damn I miss posting my fiction on a regular basis.  I do have 2 more matches on deck, its just time consuming to edit and write them up and also takes a lot of motivation. I really have to be in the right mood. Hopefully soon! 

 

Anyways, for this edition of "The List," I wanted to share some of my favorite shots from the early stories and matches of KSW:

      Thanks! They are still on the blog, but I have a lot of the posts hidden since I wanted to focus more on the underground wrestling stuff instead. I recently started writing stories again though! You can check out my latest one on DeviantArt. I'm Mikey Aarons on there as well.

  I've never had any particular affinity for big vs little matches, but Joey McCoy has become a favorite of mine at MBW and I know a lot of guys really love size mismatches in a fight. Dax Carter vs Joey McCoy - Muscleboy Wrestling   Even Dax has a hard time believing that Joey here is who he is scheduled to wrestle with on Muscleboy's iconic orange mats. This has all the signs of a mismatch squash with poor Joey at the receiving end. Wrestler of the Month: January 2025 - Tim World

Back in 2023 I was doing a Wrestler of the Month feature, but shelved it for 2024. I've decided to bring it back! It's something relatively easy for me to write up and is a reason to keep me blogging more frequently. Tim was next on the list before I stopped doing this each month, so he is the featured wrestler for January. Based in the UK, T-World is arguably one of the most recognized European underground wrestlers. He's very skilled in the ring! Whether he's fighting it out at UKWH or FFE in the ring or if he's in a more intimate setting against fellow UK wrestlers like Sir Dark or MPJ, Tim knows how to give the audience a show win or lose. My favorite matches featuring T-World are his several battles with both AJ Nasty and Sir Dark, along with a collection of hot matches from UKWH. Wrestler of the Month: February 2025 - Brendan Byers

  Out of all the wrestlers I have featured in the past for WotM, Brendan Byers is probably the one with both the longest tenure and catalog of matches in underground wrestling. An easily recognizable name and face to both long time and newer fans of the scene, Brendan's matches arguably never fail to please even the most selective of viewers. The earliest I could find from Brendan was both from Demolition 8 and Jobberpalozer 5 on BG East where he took on Joe Mazetti and Brooklyn Bodywrecker. Over the years he has transformed himself from a lean jobber to a muscular heel, and one of the best in the business! While I've only featured 4 or 5 of his matches here on my blog over the years, Brendan has put out some absolute bangers since he started his in-ring career. KSW Wrestler of the Month: Scrappy

  For the month of March, I decided to give the Wrestler of the Month honors to Scrappy! Much like February's WOTM (Gabe Steel) Scrappy has wrestled with a lot of your (and my) favorite companies. If you check out any underground wrestling website, you are likely to find several matches featuring the jacked curly-topped grappling veteran.  I took some time to investigate, and it looks like his most recently filmed match came out at Weekend Wrestling a few weeks ago where he faces party boy newcomer Riff Simmons. I really enjoyed that match quite a bit and will be sharing my thoughts about it sometime in the next few days. I can't say with 100% confidence where Scrappy debuted, but I believe it was with Thunders Arena back in 2018 against Frey.
