I was SO EXCITED when I read Bam Bam was shooting with Weekend Wrestling. After his underground debut with W4H, he quickly become a favorite of mine. This match comes with an interesting body slam stipulation. VanGore needs 10, but Bam Bam will only need to get one body slam in. Considering Van, an absolute mountain of a man, is over a foot taller and 100+ pounds heavier...this seams somewhat reasonable.

The match opens with Bam Bam spritzing himself down and running his mouth in the center of the ring. He explains the body slam conditions, along with a complimentary spray down of VanGore's chest. Van is far from impressed.

Regardless of any pre-set winning conditions, this is still a wrestling match! Van is only at 2 slams when the torture rack above happens. I say "only" because realistically he could have ended the match in minutes but instead chose to teach the cocky new hire a lesson in destruction between each slam. Bam Bam makes as best an effort he can, but each time he tries to lift VanGore, the giant strikes him right back down.

I know there's still 4 months left in the year, but I'm pretty certain this match is going to make my top 5 list for 2023. For starters, it's just downright hot as fuck. I LOVED the variety and amount of submission holds VanGore puts Bam Bam through. We get a Canadian Backbreaker too! A favorite of mine.

There's a handful of knockouts and even a pinfall, but we know the only way the match can end is if Van gets 10 body slams, or if Bam Bam can summon some otherworldly strength and manage to slam VanGore just once. 

So, does Van decide to get his 10 in when he's not busy utterly destroying Bam Bam? Or will he become to preoccupied torturing the new guy, allowing an opening for BB to squeak out a quick victory?
