KSW European Tour: Pt 1 - FFE Wrestling

Experts say the safest way to travel during a pandemic is by blog 😉 so what better way to trek across parts of Europe to check out the underground wrestling scene! Hop on board KSW charter airlines (no nightmarishly long security lines, delays, or baggage fees!) for a non-stop flight to Manchester, UK for our first destination: FFE Wrestling.


FFE Wrestling


FFE Wrestling (who you may also know as Wrestle4afee) is currently in the middle of rebranding and restructuring. They had several websites you could find their matches on but are settling in to both their new website and a new purchase platform on WatchFighters. Those apart of the MeetFighters community are probably already familiar with WatchFighters.

Founded in 2017, FFE brings together wrestlers and grapplers of all skill levels and sizes and has a very large collection of matches.


I wasn't too familiar with the company until recently and decided to spend some time and really check them out. They are currently in the process of consolidating all of their matches onto their new WF account. There are several talented faces I recognize from other companies, so I know whatever match I settle on reviewing should be pretty good.


Callum vs Yourek 7 - FFE Wrestling

I decided on Callum vs Yourek (Dimitri.) They've had several matches at FFE and this is labeled as match 7, so it's safe to assume this is their 7th time facing each other. I love a good wrestling rivalry, in particular in the underground scene since we don't see it all that often. This bout isn't that recent, but it's not from that long ago either. Sticking with the basic red vs blue trunks, both guys look great in their gear!

The match starts off with the frenchman arrogantly taunting Callum, along with some flexing and tests of strength. It gradually picks up and becomes an entertaining submission ring battle as the two attempt to wear each other down.




As I said above this is mostly a submission battle, but there's some good pro action mixed in here and there as well. Some may consider the pace to be "slow," but I think the term steady is a better word. There are some breaks in the action as the two equally matched competitors take a moment to regain themselves...but it doesn't stay equal for long. Near the last half of the 40 minute match, one of these men clearly gains the upper hand, and multiple falls follow. If you like sleepers you will enjoy the last parts of this match quite a bit! 




I went with this match since I was already familiar with both of these guys, and I wasn't disappointed. For those who love long held subs, this one is definitely worth checking out! FFE offers a huge selection of ring and mat matches featuring both pro and submission style wrestling. I'm looking forward to seeing what other great content they have in store for us!

  Gabe Steel vs Kal Handsome - Weekend Wrestling I wanted to get this up last week but fell a little behind, and it looks like I'm not alone in losing track of time... You'd assume Kal would think twice about showing up late again after the beating he took at the hands of Roger Atlas in his last match at WW for the same reason. Unfortunately for Kal, no lessons were learned as he scrambles down to the ring to meet up with Gabe who is already ready and waiting. Kal is seated at ringside rushing to put his gear on. Personally, I love the red shorts he is always wearing each time he comes to the ring. Brendan Byers vs Brody Merritt - Weekend Wrestling It's playoff season for Football jock Brody Merritt. "I know I'll win MVP this year" he says as he tosses around the pigskin he brought with him to the ring.
